Subject: Autologous cord blood in CP and THAI StemLife/ Samitivej Srinakarin
hospital

Dear group!

I post the following message as the COO of THAI StemLife and please bear in
mind that the information is still premature as the procedure took place
some 2 months ago but results are so remarkable and thus warrant attention!

A 19 month old boy of american-thai extraction with cerebral palsy since
birth with resulting cerebral diplegia, presented to the Dept of Pediatrics
at Samitivej Srinakarin Hopsital
(http://www.samitivejhospitals.com/srinakarin/aboutus_en.aspx). The boy's
family had stored cord blood stem cells at Jason's birth with THAI StemLife
(www.thaistemlife.co.th) and it was thus possible to reinfuse them back in
hope of restoring Jason's motor fuction. As there had been reports from Duke
University Center in NY, USA that autologous cord blood stem cells could
restore brain function in CP children, restored sight, speech, motor
fuctions have all been reported, the farther was thus eager to try and with
THAI StemLife's expertise in storing and transporting autologous frozen cord
blood stem cells with our Cryoshipper, the stem cells could be thawed at the
hosprital and were administered by the hospital's doctors.

7 weeks later, the boy is able to walk from previously only being able to
sit. He communicates using regular language, and is no different
intellectually compared to his peers, while weight and height are perfectly
normal on the 50th percentile of Thai children. The doctors, parents and
THAI StemLife are excited and happy to have had this unique opportunity to
try this novel treatment ONLY possible if your baby's own stem cells are
stored at birth! Physical therapy is ongoing and with its parents' and
attending doctors' efforts the child is showing remarkable progress!

Thank you,

Dr. Kostas I. Papadopoulos
