In general, before going experimental consider:
The more invasive 'treatment' you get, the less likely he will be
eligible for another clinical trial. Off-shore treatments will
probalby disqualify you from any.
Also, with clinical trials, costs are less, researchers are REAL and
you would be qualified for their next phase!)

AND, because Clinical Trials are funded elsewhere, sometimes
expanding on a standard procedure, it's not so expensive out-of-
pocket. (Insurance may help cover some parts, for example.)
For any therapies, get the answers to these questions ...
How SPECIFICALLY do they expect to help? Will it address the
underlying CAUSE? (Have they identified the underlying cause? If
not - how can you be assured they will do anything more than take
your money and make you feel like you've at least tried something?)
What type of 'stem cells' are they using?
Embryonic? Then you know it's a scam. NO ONE is offering credible
evidence that they are safe for people. They cause tumors.
Though it depends on the underlying conditions ... in general ...
Cord blood? Check w/Dr. Joanne Kurtzburg at Duke University - SHE's
the autority.
Marrow - you really want purified to mesenchymal stem cells.
But, there are LOTS of different options for stem cells. Ask
individually here.
Please - don't be so desperate you spend tens of thousands to do more
damage than good!
